SALISBURY—Warren E. Parsons, 66, of Salisbury died Thursday, June 27, 2013, at his home surrounded by loved ones. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Willie and Mable Brown Parsons.
Warren was a U.S. Marines Vietnam veteran who received a Purple Heart and was a member of Delmar VFW Post 8276. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and spending time with his grandsons. As Warren always said, he was a "Jack of all trades and a master of none."
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Boog and her husband, David; two grandsons, Austin and Hunter Boog; four brothers, Roy, Willie Henry, Mike and Rex Parsons; five sisters, Judy and Sylvia Parsons, Pauline and Virginia Burke and Geraldine Elliott; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his four-legged friend, Poncho; and three sisters, Mable Marie Dunham, Mary Lucille Parsons Messick and Patsy Parsons.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 2, at 2 p.m. at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
