Snow Hill—Lee Covington Jones, 93, of Snow Hill died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Salisbury Nursing Home. Born in Pittsville on December 12, 1919, he was the son of the late Charles Covington Jones and Virginia Lee Givans Jones.

After graduating from Pittsville High School in 1936 he attended Painter Business School previously in Salisbury. On June 21, 1941, he married his wife of 54 years Magdalene Carmean. He was a United States Army Veteran. A dairy farmer and poultry grower, he also owned a crop spraying business. He was a lifetime member of Bates Memorial Methodist Church in Snow Hill, and a member of the Nassawango Ruritan. A 33rd degree Mason, he was a member of Sinepuxent Lodge #193 and Past Patron of Worcester Chapter #102 Order of Eastern Star, both of Snow Hill. He was a member of the Boumi Temple and Tall Cedars of Lebanon of Eastern Sho Forest #53.

He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Mueller of Delmar; son, Robert "Bob" L. Jones and his wife Beth of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Chris Baumann and his wife Jen, Cherie Dowell all of Snow Hill, Jennifer Jones of Manassas, VA and Scott Jones of Salisbury; step grandchildren, Sandra d'Eustachio and her husband John of Cape Coral, FL and Wayne Mueller and his wife Elizabeth of Millsboro, DE; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Rose, Christopher Thomas, and Madison Lee Baumann; brother, Jacob Jones and his wife Ruth; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Magdalene Jeanette Carmean Jones in 1995 and a son-in-law, Charles Mueller in 2013.

A Masonic funeral service will be held Friday at 11AM at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Bates Cemetery in Snow Hill.
