Donald McCoy West

Salisbury—Donald McCoy West, 60, of here, departed this life on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late James Cropper and Ethel F. Robertson. His stepfather, Booker M. West, also preceded him in death.

Mr. West attended Wesley Temple United Methodist Church in Salisbury.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10159. Prior to retiring, he served in the United States Air Force.

Fond memories will be cherished by: one daughter, Angela Norris Brown of Alexandria, LA; one brother, Booker M. (Robin) West, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO; three sisters, Sandra West-Smith of Salisbury, Diane West of Kempner, TX and Katharine (Robert) West-Perry of Salisbury; two aunts, Lillian Hearn of Salisbury and Clara Sample of Delmar, DE; one uncle, Leigh Hunt Furr of Salisbury; one special cousin, William (Helena) Hearn, Jr. of Salisbury; two grandchildren, Javon Brown and Darius Brown, both of Alexandria, LA; five nephews, three nieces, other cousins, relatives, and friends.

Mr. West will lie in repose on Monday, July 15, 2013, from 10 to 11 AM at Wesley Temple United Methodist Church located on 1322 West Road in Salisbury. The funeral service will begin at 11 AM. Rev. Brenda Hughey-Jones will be the Eulogist. Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery - Eastern Shore located on 6827 East New Market Ellwood Road in Hurlock.
