Salisbury-Philip Daniel Villella, 68, of Salisbury, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Union City, NJ, he was the son of the late Artillio "Ralph" Rafael Villella and Josephine Marie Latronico Villella.
He was a United States Marine Corps veteran having served during the Vietnam conflict and was a member of the American Legion. He was currently working as a consultant for Beacon Strategic Services after retiring from the Federal Government at Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, NJ as an industrial and procurement specialist. He enjoyed boating and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Lois Marie Manapeli Griger Villella; 4 children, Danielle Clements and husband, John of Upper Montclair, NJ, Cara Fraley and husband, Andrew of Arlington, MA, Robert Thomas Griger of Vernon, NJ and Joseph Michael Griger and wife, Betty Ann of Dingmans Ferry, PA; 9 grandchildren, Tessa, Jack, Aidan, Sam, Jennifer, Jessica, Cassondra, Joseph Dylan and Alphonse; and a sister in law, Nadine Villella of Big Stone City, SD.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Villella.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
