Kathleen FOSTER Obituary

April 16, 1917-Dec. 12, 2012

Kathleen was born in Victoria. She had many fond memories of her childhood growing up in Victoria in the twenties and thirties. In 2004, after the death of her husband she moved to Tsawwassen to be closer to her family although her heart remained in Victoria. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Harry, her son Stephen, her brother Louis and sisters Millie, Mary and Mabel. She is survived by her daughter Catherine (Susie) and son-in-law Myron Osatenko, her daughter Susan Foster, her daughter-in-law Holly Arntzen, her grandchildren Marilee (Colin), Nina (Fred), Stephanie (Scott) and Eridanus and great grandchildren, Jacob, Julia and Harrison. Kathleen valued life, maintained a positive attitude in adversity and had a determination for independence. She devoted herself to her family using her artistic talents to their benefit with her cooking, sewing and gardening. There were never enough hours in the day to complete the tasks she set out to do. Kay set a high standard and we learned so much from her. She was greatly loved and will be forever missed by her family. We wish to thank the staff of the Waterford for their support and care of Kathleen since 2009. If you care to please make a donation to your local food bank.
