Bob Sikorski Obituary

SIKORSKI, Bob (Bobo) June 25, 1927 to August 23, 2014 Bob was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, were he spent his first 20 years. During that time he played high school football and coached minor league hockey. His 12 year olds and then the following year, the 13 year olds, won Manitoba championships. His high school football team, the St. Paul Crusaders won the Manitoba High School Championship. After his sister's death, Bob and his parents moved to Vancouver in 1947. There he played football for the Vancouver Blue Bomber Junior Football Team which won the Canadian Junior Football Championship that same year. Bobo also played for the original 1954 B.C. Lions. After moving to Vancouver, Bob worked with his dad in a family business called Sikorski Chocolates. After his dad retired Bob moved into sales in the distillery and wine business where he was employed by Seagrams, Melchers and the Mark Anthony Group. As Bo himself has written. "From my first marriage I leave behind my three sons, Bob, Jamie (Karen) and Ben (Zena) and two terrific grandchildren, Kalika and Tristin. For the past 35 years I have been together with my wife Deidre, the best and most wonderful thing that ever happened to me. To all my relatives and friends who have been part of my life, whenever you hear Sinatra, Darren or Buble sing, think of me. There will be no service, no sad songs for me, life has been beautiful." No flowers please. Donations in Bob's name can be made to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice.
