HOSSACK - Joseph Gladman March 7, 1934 - April 8, 2014 . Passed away April 8, 2014, Delta, BC after a brief illness and a good life. At his request, no service will be held. Born March 7th, 1934 in Kilsyth, Scotland to parents Joseph and Ann Hossack, Joe immigrated to Toronto, Canada with his wife Jean and son Joe in 1957. After 10 years and 3 more children Alan, David and Sandy, they moved and settled in Tsawwassen, BC in 1967. Joe was a dedicated and loyal soul, married to his childhood sweetheart, Jean, for almost 60 years and worked for the same employer, Howden and Parsons Ltd. For his entire career where he retired as Western Service Superintendent in 2002. Joe loved his family, his work and his friends, as long as they were buying. Joe was a long time member of the Beach Grove Golf Club and thoroughly enjoyed spending his free time landscaping the fairways and earning retirement funds with "Old Rusty" his dead-eye putter. Joe is survived by his sister Anne McFarland, his four children, Joe, Alan, David and Sandy and 9 grand and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kin Village (Alzheimer) Unit, in memory of his "Jean". I write this on request For a very special man Who needs a poem of meaning So I'll give him what I can. I love you like a golf course You are beautiful, yet green You have some rough patches And can come off sort of mean You will frustrate me forever Because I can't make even par But I know you'll always be there And I love you as you are I know you have some hazards, And you always want your way I'll probably never win the game But it's been awfully fun to play!
