O'REILLY, Margaret Caroline (nee Mahon) October 30, 1916 - November 12, 2013 . Margaret passed away suddenly on November 12th, 2013 two weeks after her 97th birthday. Born and raised in Port Arthur, Ontario she raised two children with her first husband Bill Blennerhassett who predeceased her in 1964. Margaret moved to Ladner, BC with her second husband, Richard, to be closer to family. Margaret was an inspiration to family and friends by being a very strong and up beat person...her philosophy was "make the best of what you have and get on with it"! As her eyesight declined she made a decision to move to Augustine House (just get on with it) and told her husband they would be moving very soon! Their years there were filled with contentment as they made new friends and were treated " royally" by the Augustine staff. Margaret leaves behind her son Ron, daughter Jan (Howard). She was " big Maimi" to grandson Bruce (Ginette) and great grandsons Kyle and Tyler, granddaughter Gretchen (Sarah) and great grandson Connor, grandson Shawn (Sharon), granddaughter Natalie (Bob) great grandchildren (Astrid and Hugo) and granddaughter Stephanie. She was blessed by the love of Richard's family in Alberta, daughter Diane (John) grandchildren Kerri, Catherine and David. As per her wishes there will be no service...her ashes to be placed in her "very favorite place" in Ontario. We wish to thank Dr. Ruth Turnbull, the nursing staff of Delta Hospital (emergency) and of course, the entire community of Augustine House. She counted many of you as her "best" friends and she enjoyed "chewing" the fat with you... To the staff...with declining health she relied on you so many times and you responded with your professional skills and your loving friendship...you are a credit to the community..thanks again!
