Gonzales, Zenaida  
Zenaida M. Gonzales, 17, a resident of Lordsburg, New Mexico, entered eternal rest Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Children's Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. She was born Jan. 20, 1998, in Silver City, New Mexico, to the late Alfredo Thomas Gonzales and Lucinda M. Chavez. She is survived by her mother, Lucinda Chavez, of the family home; two brothers, TJ Barka (Anastacia) of Santa Fe and Timothy Barka (Amanda) of Kentucky; one sister, Mary Gonzales of Lordsburg; maternal grandfather, Benjamin Chavez of Bayard; paternal grandmother, Angie Gonzales, of Lordsburg; nieces and nephews, Alexandria, Carmela, Chloe, Esperanza, Maurizio, Brandon and Benjamin; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfredo "Toe" Thomas Gonzales; maternal grandmother, Mary Chavez; paternal grandfather, Alfredo Gonzales. Viewing will be today, April 16, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. Visitation will be Friday, April 17, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lordsburg, with the prayer vigil and holy rosary to begin at 11 a.m., with Belinda Chavez reciting. The funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tony Basso officiating. Concluding service interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fernando Chavez, Angel Saenz, Mary Frances Chavez, Alicia Chavez, Jesse Lynch and Manuel Chavez. Honorary pallbearers will be Belinda Chavez and Chloe Saenz. Gottschling, Michael  
Michael D. Gottschling, 76, a former resident of Deming, passed away Thursday April 9, 2015, in Deming while visiting. A memorial service will be Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Geisen Funeral Home, 606 East 113th Ave., Crown Point, Indiana 46307. Cremation will take place at Baca's Mimbres Crematory in Deming. Michael was born Aug. 5, 1938, in Gary, Indiana, to Michael and Beulah (Lisius) Gottschling. He was a salesman for Levi Strauss Co. until his retirement and afterward owned and operated the Cedar Inn in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for about 10 years. Michael was a member of the Elks Lodge, The Loyal Order of Moose, and the Sons of the American Legion. Locally, he was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and had recently moved to Buford, Georgia, to be near his family. He is survived by his sons, Michael J. Gottschling (Bonnie) of Buford, Ron Gottschling (Jeanne) of Egan, Minnesota, Kevin Gottschling (Jennifer) of Las Vegas, Nevada; his brother, Jay Gottschling (Kathy) of Crown Point; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
