Betty Frances Gilmore

Betty Frances Gilmore, 85, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012 in Deming, attended by members of her family, from complications following surgery.
Betty was born in Oklahoma City, OK on February 21, 1927 to Elmer and Ruby Jeanes. She moved to Deming in 1954. In 1956 she married Richard W. Gilmore, her husband for 56 years.
Betty lived an exemplary life of selfless service and devotion to her family, friends, and community ‹ including 27 years as a volunteer within the Deming school system ‹ enriching their lives by the way she lived hers.
She will be remembered by those who knew her as a loving wife, mother and grandmother and as a woman of tremendous character and generosity who carried herself with grace and integrity ‹ representing the best of what her generation had to offer. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Betty is survived by her husband Richard; her 5 children, Robert (Jane), Guy (Martha), Betty Kaye, Don (Rebecca), Ann (Bob); 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family invites all who wish to attend to join them in celebrating her life at a memorial service to be held on Monday, October 15 at 11 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church, 1020 S. Granite St. in Deming.
