Everett Bert Hassman

Everett Bert Hassman, 71, a Deming resident, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at his home.
A prayer vigil will be held at 6 o'clock on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church with the funeral mass there at 11 o'clock on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, with Fr. Ron Machado officiating. Concluding services and inurnment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Everett was born October 24, 1941 in Deming to Loretta McCarthy and Chester Hassman. He worked as a mechanic for farm equipment.
Everett was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where he did a lot of volunteering; member of the Knights of Columbus, passed Grand-Knight, Chairman of the Klobase and Bingo Master for the Knights of Columbus.
His pastimes were archery and racing.
Survivors include 2 sons, Tim and Aaron Hassman both of Deming; God-daughter, Renee Fernandez of Tempe, Arizona; brother, Eugene Hassman of Las Cruces; 2 sisters, Judy Rodriguez of Deming, Beth Ackerman of El Paso, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Veronica Hassman; his brother, Fredrick Hassman; a sister, Rose Smith and a great-grandson, Riley Hassman.
