Freeman Alonzo Wanless

Freeman Alonzo Wanless, 90, formerly of Cresco, Iowa, entered into eternal rest at his home 8/29/2012.
He was born to Forrest and Mary Brown Wanless on 5/14/1922.
He served his country honorably in the Coast Guard stationed in Greenland. He was a farmer and gardener at heart and sold feed. He loved to grow flowers and vegetables. He was married 63 years to Arlien Viola Brown Wanless, who passed at age 83 on Dec. 5, 2012 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.
She was born on 4/4/1929 in Mabel, Minnesota to Elmer and Martha Overby Brown.
They retired and moved to Deming in 1992 where Freeman was a custodian of his church for many years. They are survived by 3 sons, Kevin (Rena) of Deming, Perry (Michelle) of Citrus Heights, CA and Steve of Deming. They have 2 daughters, Paula (Ted) Sconiers of Sacramento and Cathy Jones of Deming.
They were preceded in death by each of their parents and 3 sons, Rory, Larry and Bret. Freeman was preceded in death by a brother, Donald (Elaine) of Arkansas and a sister, Dorothy (Clint) of Harmony, Minnesota. Arlien was preceded in death by a sister, Mona of Lake Havasu City.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday morning January 5, 2013 at 10:30 at River of Life Citi Church with Pastor Cesar Chavez officiating.
