Funeral services for Billy Jack Willey, age 39, of Safford, will be conducted Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., at the First Southern Baptist Church of Thatcher, 2934 West Eighth Street in Thatcher, by Dustin Willey. Graveside services will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Deming, at 3:00 p.m.
Billy went to be with the Lord Saturday afternoon, November 26, 2011, in Safford, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Billy Jack Willey was born in Deming, New Mexico to Roy Len Willey and Marilyn Sue Bullock on November 30, 1971. A longtime resident of Arizona and southern New Mexico, Billy attended high school in Deming, New Mexico. As an artisan and welder, he recently had returned to Safford to be near his children.
Billy came to know and accept the Lord in 1989 and was currently attending the New Life Fellowship Church. He was known for his artistic talent, love of the out-of-doors and his abounding love for his family, especially his children and many nieces and nephews.
Billy leaves behind: His three daughters, Antoinette Willey, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kaycee Willey and Kalee Willey, each of Safford; his grandmother, Tean Daniel of Silver City, New Mexico; his fathers, Roy Willey and Robert Offutt, each of Deming, New Mexico; his two brothers, Kevin Offutt, of Gilbert, Arizona and Jason Offutt, of Cotton City, New Mexico; three sisters, Kelley Offutt-Riha, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Wanda Embick-Offutt, of Cotton City, New Mexico and Charlotte Offutt-Reagan, of Deming, New Mexico; his loving aunt and uncle, Bev and Jack Willey, of Safford; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who will dearly miss Billy. Billy was predeceased by: his mother, Marilyn Bullock; his grandmothers, RoJean Franks Cottle and Edna Mae Willey; grandfathers, Boots Willey, Robert E. Cottle and Robert S. Bullock.
The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., at the First Southern Baptist Church of Thatcher.
