James Paul Snook, 66, a resident of Deming, NM since 2003, passed away at his home on June 28, 2013.
He is survived by his rescued children, T-Bone and Ilsa and his older brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Joanna Snook of Houston Texas;
His mother and father, Delores and George Paul Snook, preceded him in death.
Jim was born January 24, 1957 in Valparaiso, Indiana and grew up in Chesterton, Indiana. During school, he was an active member of the Chesterton High School Band, playing trumpet. He was also a cast member in almost every school play and sang with the school and Bethlehem Lutheran Church Choir. He was an avid fan of monster movies, barbershop quartets and game shows.
He attended Indiana University in Bloomington after graduating Chesterton High School in 1975. He was an employee of Terminix until retiring to Deming with his father. He worked part-time at the animal control shelter in Deming until a brain tumor left his leg partially paralyzed.
A memorial service will be held in Chesterton at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at a later date for his final resting place in Chesterton Cemetery. Snooky was a friend to everyone he met and he will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
