Dora Madrid Watson passed away at a Rio Rancho, NM nursing home on April 2, 2013.
The Guest Book is expired.
Dora is survived by two siblings: Rachel Piñeda of El Paso, TX and Cornelio "Nelo" Madrid of Deming, NM. Her four surviving children are: John "Jack" Jospeh Maceiunas, John Thomas "Tom" Maceiunas Jr. and spouse Laura, Rebecca Ann Kimberly Bwlden and Rachel Kelly Geary and spouse Kevin. She also has seven loving grandchildren.
Dora was born on April 18, 1936 in Columbus, NM, a small train depot town near the border of Mexico, to Trinidad and Idalia Madrid. The family eventually moved to Deming, NM, where Dora graduated from Deming High School.
Her early work was as an office assistant in White Sands, NM, where she met her first husband, Jack Maceiunas. They married in 1959 and has two sons, Jack and Tom.
Her first husband passed after two years of marriage due to a tragic horseback riding accident. Along with Dora, we anxiously await the future time when Jehovah God will restore him to a new life on a Paradise earth.
Her second marriage was to Colen Kelly Watson in 1966. The marriage was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Rebecca and Rachel. As a result of a military assignment, the family moved from El Paso to Germany for three years from 1970 to 1973.
Several months prior to this move, in 1969, Dora was introduced to the truth by a humble and loving servant of god by the name of Ann Wasnik.
In Germany, she continued her studies of the Bible with a kind German couple who were fully dedicated to the doing of God's will. (1 Timothy 2:3,4).
Upon her return to the U.S., she dedicated her life to Jehovah God and was baptized on June 5, 1974, She was never ashamed of sharing the good news of God's kingdom with others.
As she rests in God's memory, we anxiously await the near future time when she will be restored to Paradise earth, when we can all join her in a loud shout of praise to our Heavenly Father, Jehovah (Psalm 150:6).
