Eluvina Samora Ortega, 82, a resident of Bayard, NM went to be with the lord on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Ladera Nursing & Rehabilitation Home in Albuquerque, NM. Eluvina was born on March 3, 1930 in Chloride, NM to Natividad Zamora and Carolina Telles. Eluvina was a collector of many things and enjoyed going to casinos and yard sales. She also liked crocheting, embroidering and listening to all spanish music. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. She was survived by two loving sons, Wilfido Ortega and his wife Ester of Belen, NM and Steve Ortega and his wife Sylvia of Silver City, NM; three devoted daughters, Rita O. Rodriguez and her husband Eddie of Santa Clara, NM; Sista Clark and her husband Richard of Albuquerque, NM and Velma Apodaca and her husband Miguel of Las Palomas, NM; her daughter in law, Sally Ortega ; her sons companion, Virginia Beckett; two brothers, Elizardo Zamora and Gilbert Zamora; three sisters, Priscilla Tafoya, Cora Garcia and Delfina Harrison; twenty seven grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her loving husband Gregorio Ortega; two sons¹, Eduardo Ortega and Espiridion Ortega; one brother, Celso Zamora and one sister, Viola Rodney. Viewing will be Today, Monday, December 17, 2012 from 5-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapel with the holy rosary beginning at 6pm with Carmen Terrazas reciting. Funeral mass will be on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 10am at St. Ann Catholic Church with Father Enrique Lopez Escalera officiating. Concluding service with an interment at Mountain View cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Eduardo Ortega Jr., Pete Ortega, Christopher Allison, Kevin Ortega, Gregory Apodaca and Aaron Zamora.
