Sir Skruffy de Chompers went to Heaven Monday, February 25, 2013, from complications of diabetes.
The Guest Book is expired.
"Skruffy" was born on July 20, 1999, in Sioux Center, Iowa. He joined Julie and Armand's family on September 8, 1999. He was a very loving and playful companion.
He started his Service Dog training in April of 2000. At age 2, he lost his "In Training" patches and became a full-fledged "Service Dog."
The Orbans moved to New Mexico in November 2001.
In February 2008, Skruffy became diabetic. A few months later, he lost his sight.
In February 2009, with the help of Eye Care for Animals and the Deming community, he had his cataract surgery and regained his sight.
We are still thankful for the love and prayers that we received at this time!
In February 2012, he started having seizures and his sight started failing, again. He went everywhere with Julie and Armand and got them through a lot of difficult times.
He loved going for walks, chasing snakes (in Iowa), playing in the snow, and just being a faithful and loving friend.
He will be greatly missed by many for a long time.
