Donna Mae Johnson, 73, of Clermont, Florida joined her Lord in Heaven on November 2, 2012. Donna was born in Yankton, South Dakota, 1939 to William and Martha (Westra) Johnson. Donna graduated from Yankton High School in 1957.

moved to Chicago, Ill. and resided there until 1980, working as a legal secretary. Later she married Dr. Dallas Lemmon and resided in Deming, New Mexico for many years. She then moved to Florida in 2008 and received Christ as her Savior.
Donna taught high school drama and English in Animas, New Mexico for many years, and received her Master¹s degree in English education from New Mexico University in Silver City, New Mexico in 1991. Donna and Dallas were very active in the Deming community, working with the Arts Council for many years and editing a book, The Deming Six, a collection of stories and essays written by local authors. She also worked as a waitress at the Deming truck stop restaurant, having a special love for her customers and friends over the years. Her smile, laugh, good humor and loyalty will be much missed by those who knew her.
Survivors include daughter Joyel (Skinner) Ortega, son-in-law, John Ortega, grandsons Jonathen, Joshua and Justin Ortega of Clermont, Florida; as well as sister Virginia Livingston (Lester) of Ames, Nebraska, and brother James
(Roberta) of Nokesville, Virginia. Stepdaughters Marianne Lemmon of Albuquerque and Lynn Lemmon-Oliver (Michael) of Penrose, Colorado, grandsons Evan Lemmon of Albuquerque and Jesse Oliver (KaRene) of Canon City, Colorado, grand-daughter Brianna Oliver of Colorado Springs, Colorado, great-granddaughter Kamin of Canon City.
A private ceremony will be held in Florida for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Smile Train, her favorite charity.
