I just learned of Hoagie's passing from George Snyder. Dumbfounded, I cannot believe I missed everything. My sincere sympathy to Hoagie's family and extended family including all that he touched over the years at Saxby Implement Corporation. I was one of those customers that he called friend. Hoagie shared with me his International Harvester stories of times long ago. He knew many part numbers by heart. Taking me to his home, he added to my IH collection making me the envy of IH collectors.
I have fond memories of my Farmalls being repaired in his shop, the same shop where we would sit together having breakfast before his annual auctions.
Visions of loading my brand new Troy Bilt or my 40-year old Cub Cadet tractor won at his March 2000 auction will be forever with me. He even provided me with the sale history of that tractor from his small office file older than me. That now restored little 1961 Original will stand proud at shows with a sign attached reading: “In memory of my friend Marv “Hoagie” Hogan.”
I believe the smiles on our faces, two New York Yankee fans, in the accompanying photo say it all. And so this peach of a guy is gone, gone but not forgotten. I shall remember my friend for many things, but mostly for his genuine friendship and unexpected phone calls over the years. Rest easy Hoagie. I'm blessed that you were part of my life.

My Sympathy goes out the whole Hogan extended family. My memories with Hoagie go back before computers. Hoagie and I experienced the first computer connections with the great International Harvester Company. May Hoagie with his very reliable note pads and International Harvester rest in peace.

I have lots of memories of Marv, hanging out at the pool and getting into his fridge in the garage with Randy. He took some of my money at the cabin on Sunday's. A toast to a great Yankee fan. Rest in peace my friend.
