Carroll, D.D.S., Kenneth A. Phelps: Formerly of Brighton, on August 27th at age 93. It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is predeceased by his parents; brother, John Carroll; and children, Stephen and Margret Carroll. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Muriel L. Carroll; children, Patricia (James) Miskell, Marybeth (Kurt) Strobl, James, and Anne (David) Harnish; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dr. Carroll was a Marine Corp fighter pilot and instructor (Corsair F4U) serving from 1942-1945, a dentist practicing in Brighton for more than 50 years, and a member of the American Dental Society. Ken enjoyed playing golf and fishing with family and friends. No calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, September 11, 11:15 AM at Church of the Assumption, 20 East Ave., Fairport, NY 14450. Cira, Ronald Irondequoit: August 26, 2015, age 76. Predeceased by his father, Vincent. Survived by his wife, Phyllis (Castranova); daughter and son-in-law, Rene & David Spallina; granddaughter, Samantha; his mother, Margaret Cira; brother, Sam Cira; sister, Corrine (Ed); brother-in-law, Joseph (Pat) Castranova; sisters-in-law, Lucille Privitera and Patricia Ippolito; many nieces and nephews; his granddog, Rocky; many lifelong friends including Mike & Linda Nicosia, Carm & Roz Santora and Tony Donato". Ron was a dedicated husband to Phyllis his childhood sweetheart and beloved wife of 56 years, he was a devoted father to Rene, a doting grandfather to Samantha his angel and considered David a son not a son-in-law. Ron believed his fortune lay in family and friends, and his love for them transcended all else. Ron had a passion for cooking and delighted in preparing feasts for his family and friends. He enjoyed golf and an occasional game of cards. Ron had an easy way about him and readily drew people into his life. His welcoming smile will forever be imprinted on the hearts of those he loved, and his hearty laugh will resonate with them always Calling hours, Sunday 1-4 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road (Rte. 250). Conway, Edvard P. III Greece: Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at age 83. Predeceased by his son, Michael Francis; sisters, Anne McCombs & Margaret Hush. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara; children, Edvard P. IV (Barbara), Donna (Matt Oster) & Karen (Eric) Meyris; granddaughters, Heather & Sarah Meyris; nieces, nephews; special friends, Tom and Carole Ann Lee and many dear friends and fellow firefighters. Edvard was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served our Country in the Korean War. He was a graduate of Niagara University, retiree of Eastman Kodak Co. and a past Chief of Lake Shore Fire Department. Edvard enjoyed reading, playing cards, socializing with his Breakfast Club and attending his granddaughters sporting events. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Edvard's visitation will be held Sunday, August 30th 1-4 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Greece Chapel. Civitello, James W. Chili: Passed away peacefully on August 20, 2015.
