Basta, Jacob M.  
Basta, Jacob M. Pulaski: Jacob M. Basta, aged 40, resident of Pulaski since 2003, previously of Massachusetts and Buffalo passed away Saturday at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown. Jacob was born July 6, 1974 in Rochester, the son of John C. and Sarah M. Sullivan Basta. He graduated from Victor High School in 1993 and Nazareth College in 1998. Jacob married Jessica Gilson on September 24, 2005. He owned New York Woods and Waters Land Development Corp. since 2008. He was also employed by Land First as an Executive Manager and Associate Broker for the past 12 years. Jacob completed his first Ironman in July of 2014 and was training to participate in his second Ironman this summer. Jacob enjoyed spending time with his family at their camp in Portaferry. Jacob had an impact on everyone he met with his warm smile and memorable laugh. Surviving are his wife Jessica M. Basta, three daughters, Ava M., Giana M., and Carmela M. (ages 6, 4, and 1) all of Pulaski, his mother Sarah Basta of Victor, brother John (Kimberly) Basta of Rochester, sister Danielle (Samuel Casella) Basta of Vermont, in-laws, Jeffrey Gilson, Cheryl Hewlett (Stanley), Heather Gilson, Jeffrey (Sarah) Gilson, Joshua (Heather) Gilson, Victoria (Corey) Gilson, and several nieces and nephews. Jacob was predeceased by his father John who passed away in 2014. Funeral Services will be held noon Friday, May 22, at Christ Our Light Parish, 23 Niagara Street, Pulaski, with burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. Bentley, Joyce M. (Chippendale) Greece: Passed peacefully, surrounded by loving family and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 18, 2015 at age 69. Predeceased by her parents, Bill and Marge Chippendale. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, 5 months, 18 days, Jimmy E. Bentley; son, Daryl L. (Deborah) Bentley; grandchildren, Ashley R. and Zackary L. Bentley, Jenna M., Rhionn K. and Garrett M. DiVincenzo; sister, Sandra Thomas; brother, Kenny; aunt, Joyce Newsom; cousin, Barbara (Chester) Burrs; nephew and nieces, James R. Bentley, Rebecca (Thomas) Gordon, Sabrina Zazzara; special friend, Betty Annechino; too many friends and family members to mention. Joyce was a Rochester City School District retiree. Blum, Gary  
Blum, Gary R. Webster: Born on December 20, 1945, and passed away on May 23, 2015, at the age of 69. Predeceased by his step-daughter, Lisa Gaffney. Survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Jane (Cilento); step-son, John (Tara) Gaffney; grandchildren, Jack and Devin; brother, Mitchell Blum (Don Lively); Aunt Jean Blum; and father-in-law, Lawrence Cilento. The greatest joy and focus in Gary's life were his grandchildren. Gary was an astute businessman, who built up the Party City franchise in Upstate New York. Gary took particular pride in his grandson, Jack's participation in the McQuaid crew team in the RowForHope, raising funds for the Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society. Gary also thoroughly enjoyed attending all of his granddaughter, Devin's lacrosse games. Gary was her biggest cheerleader. Gary supported other various charitable organizations that helped children facing illness and developmental challenges. Funeral Services will be held on TUESDAY at 11 AM at The All Seasons Chapel in White Haven Memorial Park (210 Marsh Road). Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. Bonafede, Grace M. (Maiurano) (Leone) Greece: May 21, 2015 at the age of 100. Predeceased by her husbands, Charles Leone & Andrew Bonafede; daughter, Frances Leone (George) Giordano. She is survived by; grandsons, George (AnnMarie) Giordano & Charles (Joan) Giordano; granddaughter, Catherine Seifert; great-grandchildren, Mikel Giordano, Alana Giordano, Dante Giordano, Frances Seifert, Jamie Lynn Seifert; brother, Bill Maiurano; several nieces & nephews. Grace's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the caring staff at Edna Tina Wilson Living Center for their compassionate care. Grace's Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10AM on Tuesday, May 26 at St. Lawrence Church , 1000 North Greece Rd. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Brege, George L. Spencerport: Colonel George L. Brege lived a full, and rich life. COL Brege, 87, a veteran of many 391st Regiment and 98th Division assignments, passed away on April 8, 2015 in Unity Hospital, Rochester NY. The Colonel as he was known to friends and family was born and raised in Medina, New York. George was married for 45 years Florence Margaret Brege until her death in 1997 and is precede in death by his 2 sisters, Delores Kimmick, Irlavere Brege. He is survived by his second wife, Mary Brege ; son, Mark George Brege ,daughter , Martha Brege ; granddaughters, Shannon Marie Mortimer, and Elise Nicole Brege ; 2 great grandsons, Liam and Noah; brother, Bruce Brege. George was a Graduate of Empire State College with a major in chemistry. He worked at Eastman Kodak for 32 years with a career as a Micro Contamination Engineer. His military career spanned over 35 years. A decorated marksman, he had a passion for the army that continued into his retirement. Active as a Freemason at the Brockport Lodge and within the Spencerport community, George was known for his zest and vitality for life and his love and commitment to his family and friends. He touched the lives of many people and will be missed and remembered with love, honor and respect. To light a candle of remembrance, visit www.alifecelebrated.com A grave-side, military service on Tuesday, May 26th, 10AM, at Millville Cemetery, Millville, NY, east of Medina, on Route 31A. COL Larry Feasel will preside over the ceremony. Following the ceremony join George's family, and friends at Tillman's Village Inn, at the intersection of Routes 104 and 98.
