Warren, Curtis J. Webster: Unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at age 22. He leaves his mother, Cathy; brother, Justin; grandparents, Gary and Susan Dennis; aunts, Hillary Hollenbeck & Wendy Dennis; cousins, Hope, Grace & Jessica Hollenbeck; and many dear friends. Watson, Richard W. Palmyra: Passed along peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the age of 83. Family and friends are invited to call from 6-8pm on Fri., May 29 at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 W. Main St., Palmyra. A graveside committal service will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 30 at Palmyra Cemetery (Please meet at the Vienna Street Gate). A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, May 30 at the Western Presbyterian Church of Palmyra followed by a reception in fellowship hall. Memorials may be directed to Western Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 101 East Main St., Palmyra, NY 14522 or to the Palmyra - Macedon Lions Club, PO Box 83, Palmyra, NY 14522. Dick grew up in Massachusetts and earned his BA at MIT. He and Carol, his wife of more than 60 years were married in 1953. After a tour of duty with the U.S. Army, Dick and Carol moved to Palmyra where he began work as a Patent Agent with Garlock. Dick had served as a member of the Pal-Mac Board of Education and the Four Counties Board of Education. He was a former chairman of Palmyra Canaltown Days and a trustee for Dollars-For-Scholars. Dick was a 50 year member of the Palmyra-Macedon Lions Club and a Melvin Harris Fellow. When he wasn't busy volunteering with the Food Pantry or serving as a We-Care driver, Dick enjoyed salt and fresh water fishing, golf, woodworking and tending his vegetable garden. Mr. Watson is predeceased by his wife Carol and brother Robert B. Watson. He is survived by his daughters Linda (James) Zurich and Gail (Leslie Preisner) Watson; grandsons Nicholas and Cooper Zurich; sister-in-law Carol Watson and several nieces and nephews. Weinstein, Joseph John Jr. "Joe" Gates: Suddenly, May 23rd, 2015. He is predeceased by his father, Joseph Weinstein and father-in-law, Joseph Perry. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; daughters, Shari (Tommy) Sprouse and Marissa Weinstein; son, Jason (Amber) Wilson; granddaughter, Angel Sprouse, mother, Ann Weinstein; and brother, Tom (Michelle) Weinstein; niece Brianna Nacci; and uncle, Terry (Mary) Lennon. His funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM at Holy Ghost Church, 250 Coldwater Rd. Private interment. Weissend, Homer Denton  
Weissend, Homer Denton Greece: Peacefully May 18, 2015, age 91, after a brief illness. Homer was a hard-working, satisfied man who didn't want or need more in life than his home and family, except for a pony and hot dog stand. His happiness came from his wife of 68 years, Joy; his two daughters Nancy (Ron) Hendershot and Janet Weissend, and grandsons Mark (Sinoun) Parina, Brett (Julie Dugan) Hendershot, Ryan (Nicole) Parina, and Steven (Jessie Miller) Parina. He enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren and having reunions with his many siblings, nieces and nephews. Homer came from a large family; he is predeceased by his 11 brothers and sisters. He was a Kodak retiree, US Army Air Force WWII veteran, a past grand master of Teoronto Lodge #8 (Odd Fellows), and former member of the Chorus of the Genesee (SPEBSQSA, the Barbershop Harmony Society). Homer liked hot soup, music, birds, reading, old movies, traveling and cocktails with Joy. He enjoyed family get-togethers with homemade clam dip, shrimp, and popcorn. His family will always remember his strength, generosity, wit, and sense of humor. Homer loved his family and he will be forever missed. Homer's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Crimson Ridge Assisted Living for the love and compassion shown to both Homer and Joy over the past two years. The family also thanks Unity Hospital and Transitional Care Center for their kind attention during Homer's final weeks. Friends are invited to call Friday May 29, 3-7pm at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester. We will gather on Saturday, May 30, 11:00am at Lakeview Community Church, 30 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, to celebrate the long, wonderful life of Homer. Private interment. Welch, Thomas Barnes Rochester/Marion: Died suddenly on May 12, 2015. Born December 12, 1972 to Thomas A. & Sydney B. Welch, both deceased. Tommy leaves behind his family, extended family and many friends. He was a kind, generous soul who will be remembered at a memorial gathering held at "Stewart Lodge" in Mendon Ponds Park, Mendon/Honeoye Falls, N Y on Friday, May 29 from 12:00 noon to 4:00. Private interment Marion Cemetery. In Tommy's spirit his family asks that those who knew and loved him do a simple act of kindness, when the opportunity arises, with a smile on your face.
