Hollingsworth, Nancy H.
Hollingsworth, Nancy H. Pittsford, NY: Nancy H. Hollingsworth, of Pittsford, N.Y., died Sunday, January 11, 2015, at the age of 87. She spent the last several years of her life at the Cottage Grove Memory Care Residences through the Rochester Presbyterian Home due to dementia. Nancy was the wife of the late Jack W. Hollingsworth, retired Professor and Department Head at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, N.Y., and, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, N.Y. Nancy earned both a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Registered Nursing Degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Women's Club, Gardening Club, and Adventure Club. Many of her close friends were made through her monthly participation from 1979 to 2012 in the R.I.T. Women's Bookclub. On Jack's retirement, he and Nancy enjoyed movies, dining out with friends, and concerts through the Eastman School of Music. Nancy was best known for her sweet, caring personality. From 1992 to 1994 she cared for her mother in her home, allowing her mother to pass away at home. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack, and son's Joel and Seth. Joel's wife Kathy resides in Scotia, N.Y. Daughter Priscilla, and her husband Daryl, reside on the central coast of CA. Memorial donations may be made to the Eastman School of Music: 26 Gibbs Street, Rochester, N.Y. 14604; or, The Rochester Presbyterian Home, 256 Thurston Road, Rochester, N.Y. 14619.
