Albano, Rose (Amico) Rochester: Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Predeceased by her parents, Sam and Stella Amico; brother, Sam Amico; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Constantino Albano; brother, Cosmo Amico; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call FRIDAY from 5-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Saturday morning, December 20, friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 9:00 in Holy Apostles Church (Lyell Ave. and Austin St.). Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Alfano, Paul J.  
Alfano, Paul J. Penfield: Entered into eternal rest on December 2, 2014 at age 87. Paul was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. He was an avid New York Giants, Mets and Knicks fan. He received his undergrad and graduate degrees in business from NYU. He served in the Navy during WWII as a Medic, receiving an honorable discharge. He met the love of his life Joan on the Jersey Shore when they were teenagers. They married, raised 4 children and moved from New Jersey to Michigan and eventually settled in Penfield for the last 50 years. They celebrated 63 years of marriage together and remain an inspiration to their children about love and family being important over all else. Paul was a devout Catholic. He was active in church organizations in NJ, MI and NY. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus (March 1957) achieving 4th degree status. He believed in community service and was on the Penfield School Board during mid-to late 1970s. Most of all, he'll be remembered as a devoted family man and for his love of God and sports. We will miss him so very much. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Mary & Poerio; his sisters, Yolanda Bovasso and Marie Taylor; and beloved daughter, Maureen. He is survived by his wife, Joan; his sons, Paul and Mark; and his daughter, Carol (Steve) DeRycke. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Katy and Eric Alfano of CA and Paul DeRycke of Penfield. He is lovingly remembered by extended family and dear friends. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Michael Kukfa, Heathwood Assisted Living and Aaron Manor for their wonderful care during the last part of his life. A private Viewing was held for the family. Friends are invited to join his Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday Dec. 16th, 11:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield. Interment, Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to the American Diabetes, American Heart or American Cancer Societies or a Christian mission of your choosing.

Allentoff, Dr. Norman Pittsford: Passed away on December 18, 2014, at the age of 91. Predeceased by his wife, Gertrude June. Survived by his sons, Michael (Marla), Alban (Rongrong) of Flemington, NJ & Aaron; daughter, Theresa (Martin) Ruffle ; grandsons, Jonathan & Leo; granddaughter, Annabelle; sister, Alice Weiner of Toronto. Dr. Allentoff was a WWII veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force and a retiree of the Kodak Research Labs as a Senior Research Associate. Graveside Services will be held on SUNDAY at 10 AM in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will sit Shiva on Sunday from 2 - 5 PM & Monday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM at 17 Stuyvesant Road in Pittsford. Altman, Richard C. Christiansburg, VA: Richard C. Altman passed away, in Christiansburg, VA on 12/3/2014 after a long battle with lung cancer. Richard was retired from the Miami-Dade County School System, where he taught for many years. He is survived by his wife Marcia, daughters Kim (Jeff) and Marcey (Ben) and four grandchildren who lovingly named him "Grandude" - Nicholas, Rae-Anne, Savannah and Carly. Predeceased by his son Scott. A private ceremony will be held by the family.
