Kemak, Michael
Gig Harbor, Washington: Michael Kemak, born October 10, 1918 in Marcellus, NY, passed away in Gig Harbor, WA on August 3, 2009. Until moving to Gig Harbor three years ago, Michael had been a lifelong resident of Seneca Falls, NY. He was an active lifetime member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Seneca Falls and retired from the US Post Office after 30 years as a faithful mail carrier there.
Michael was a man of integrity and had the biggest heart to help everyone, including snow blowing every neighbor's driveway. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid fisherman, hunter and trapper.
Family members include his sons: Glenn (Dee) Kemak of Gig Harbor & Alan (Jackie) Kemak of Summerfield, FL; his daughters: Rebecca Kemak (Bob Cain) of Laveen, AZ & Kathleen (James) West of West Des Moines, IA; sisters: Ann Plis of CA and Helen Thomason of AZ; brother John Kemak of Waterloo, NY; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Louise in April 2003; brothers, Andrew and Joseph; and sister, Mary Curcio.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m., October 10, 2009 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Seneca Falls, NY. Remembrances may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 27 Fall Street, Seneca Falls, NY 13148. Please leave online condolences at www.havenrest.com.
