Charles James "Chuck" Biggins Jr.

Biggins, Charles (Chuck) James Jr.

Bergen: Mr. Biggins, age 80, died Friday, December 16, 2011 at his home. Chuck was born May 15, 1931 in Olean, a son of the late Charles J. Sr. and Mary Lyndall Biggins. Chuck lived in Attica from 1963 until he retired as a corrections officer in 1983. Chuck also was a Secretary of the AFLCIO Council 82. He was an Attica Police Officer, and a member of the Attica Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a Democratic Party Leader in Wyoming County and a CB operator. In 1984, Chuck and Betty moved to North Chili to be closer to Betty's employment at Kodak while Chuck worked as head of security at the Rochester Memorial Art Gallery. In 1994, Chuck and Betty moved to the Hidden Meadows Community in Bergen, where they currently reside.

Chuck is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Betty Lou Canfield Biggins. whom he married April 28, 1951; their five children, Charles J. III, Michael William, Diane Marie, James John & Kenneth Patrick; daughter-in-Law Kathy along with 9 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Thomas M. Biggins and James Biggins.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Street, Bergen, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday.
