Pittsford: March 31, 2014. Born on March 16, 1928 in Rochester, NY. Predeceased by his parents, Charles McNeil and Dorothy Buzzell Clarke. He is survived by his wife, Ann McAlister Clarke; children, Christopher (Tracey), Matthew (Eileen) and Leslie Clarke (Mark) Zornow; brothers, Roderick and David Clarke; step-children, John McAlister, Jr., William (Robin) McAlister and Laura McAlister (Robert) Groves; five grandchildren.

Don graduated from West High, Alfred University and the University of Rochester. He served for two years post WWII in the US Army Air Force as a weather observer in Panama. He was employed by the Rochester City School District as a teacher and personnel administrator for 31 years. Don was passionate about classical music, gardening, fishing and sports, and was a life long conservationist. During retirement he and his wife traveled extensively in Europe and North America. He was a volunteer with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra for ten years, working with children's concerts.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, 2 PM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 25 Westminster Rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, 108 East Ave., Rochester, NY 14604.
