Magguilli, Louis D.
Brighton: December 29, 2012 at age 83. Predeceased by parents, Michael and Rose Magguilli. Beloved husband of 62 years to Julia Rubert Magguilli. Beloved Father of Michael (Mary), Louis (Nancy), and Lawrence (Lisa). Beloved Grandfather to Molly Magguilli Rhodes, Michael, Lawrence, Samantha, Laura, Matthew, Sean and Mary Grace Magguilli. Beloved Great Grandfather to William and Elizabeth Rhodes, and Cora Magguilli. Beloved Brother to Cataldo Maggiulli and Vincent Magguilli, and Rosetta Terrigino. Beloved Uncle to numerous nephews and nieces.
Son of Italian immigrants, Louis began working at age 8 and worked hard his entire life. He taught his three sons the value of hard work and they in turn taught their children. Louis was rewarded with children and grandchildren who became doctors, lawyers, business owners, college professors, talent coordinators at the CBC, and avid students. Louis loved the outdoors, was a member of the championship Rochester Archery Team, and was the long time Cub Scout Master of Pack 280 in Brighton. Louis worked as a salesman for 32 years at Raymour and Flanigan's. After retiring he began a second career in real estate working with son Lawrence until age 80. He then devoted his time to gardening and loved working in his yard which became something of a local attraction to all the people in the neighborhood, especially the young children next door, Eric and Nathan Austin who Louis loved as family. Devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and surrogate grandfather and uncle to numerous children raised in the household, Louis is truly missed by all. Beautiful Story!
