DeNagel, Raymond John
Williamson: Entered into rest on Friday, December 28, 2012 just two weeks before his 95th birthday, at Blossom View Nursing Home, Sodus, NY. Born January 11, 1918 to John and Sarah (Dietz) DeNagel in Williamson, NY. Married the love of his life, Constance Contant on September 5, 1942 who predeceased him on November 5, 2011, after 69 years of marriage. Survived by son, Craig Charles DeNagel and wife Susan (Peters) of Williamson and their children, Peter John (Keri) DeNagel and children Kayley Rae and Connor John; Sarah Elizabeth (Alexander) Patterson and children, Charles Frederick and Samuel Andrew and their expected child; and Nathan David (Elizabeth) DeNagel and son, William Horan DeNagel. Daughter, Barbara Louise and husband, William Frederick Kneer Jr. of Cody, Wyoming and children, William Frederick III (Will) (Kendra) Kneer and sons, William Frederick IV (Liam) and Finn Canaan, also Anna Louise (Neil) Dylewski and son, Wesley Asher. Predeceased by sister, Evelyn Kast of Albion, NY in 2008. Survived by brother-in-law, Mr. Stanley Kast, sister-in-law, Mrs. Cleall (Sherwood) Johnson of Sodus, NY and many nieces and nephews. Ray was a man of honor, loved and respected by many people. Graduate of Williamson Central School, Class of 1935. Attended Cornell Agricultural College. Served in the Army
Air Corp 1941 to 1945 as a Captain and Bombardier Instructor. President of Agchem Service Corporation in Sodus, NY, serving the agricultural community of Western New York until his retirement in 1982. Member of Pultneyville Reformed Church and Valley Presbyterian Church in Green Valley, Arizona where the family wintered for over 20 years. 70 Year Member of the Pultneyville Masonic Lodge No. 159. Served in the community on the Chamber of Commerce, and as a member of Rotary, American Legion and the Orphix Fraternity. Flat Rock Camp was a special place where Ray spent time with his family and his friends.
A Memorial Service celebrating Raymond and Constance DeNagel will be held at the Pultneyville Reformed Church on Sunday, December 30 at 3 PM., followed by a Masonic Service to honor Raymond. Memorial Donations to Pultneyville Reformed Church 7790 Hamilton Street, Pultneyville, NY 14538.
