Walter Sulkowski

Sulkowski, Walter

San Leandro, California: Peacefully passed away at home on July 1, 2013. He was born September 24, 1946 in Rochester, New York. He moved to California in 1982, working for Rochester Midland as a regional vice president. He became a member of Richmond Country Club where he and his wife Peggy acquired a close group of friends. Besides golf, Waltee, as close friends called him, enjoyed the thrill of betting on the ponies, golf trips with the guys, and yearly visits to Mexico with his wife Peggy. Walter surprised us all by becoming the landscaper extraordinaire at his and Peggy's second home in Valley Springs, California. We will fondly remember his loyalty to his Buffalo Bills, his great skill at the barbeque, his famous "Waltee Beans," sparking blue eyes, and endearing sense of humor. Walter attended the University of Buffalo, and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He leaves behind, to remember a life well lived, his wife Margaret, a daughter Megan (Henry), stepchildren Carolyn (Eric), Brian, and two precious granddaughters, Mia (3) and Hannah (5 months).

Please join us for a celebration of Walter's life this Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Santos-Robinson Mortuary.
