Kehoe, William T.
Troy: 71, died suddenly Sat., Jan. 5, 2013 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Carthage, NY, he was the son of the late Leo & Mildred Kehoe. He graduated from Watertown High School and attended Onondaga Community College, after which he joined the U.S. Army
. Following in his father's footsteps, he was a locomotive engineer for the New York Central & Penn Central railroads until an injury forced his early retirement. He was a member of the United Transportation Union and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen & Enginemen, for which he served as St. Lawrence Division local chairman for many years. During his railroading years he lived in Watertown & Oswego, and after retirement moved to Troy in 1987. Mr. Kehoe owned and operated self-service laundries in Albany & Troy. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Paul's Catholic Church, and more recently St. Anthony's. He loved being with his family & friends. He enjoyed cooking and an occasional trip to the casino. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Myron; his infant sister, Mary Josephine; brother & good pal Kevin, who passed away in December; and son, Floyd Patterson. William is survived by his loving companion of 32 years, Delores Patterson, his children, William, Jr., Brooksville, FL, Charlotte Nasworthy, Tampa, FL, Kelley (Rob) Sanemeterio, Brandon, FL, Colleen Palmquist, Colonial Heights, VA, Tracy Davis, Clifton Park, Judi Kehoe, Apollo Beach, FL, Michelle (Peter) Sefcik, Clifton Park, Lisa (Billy) Barlow, Oswego, and Wayne Patterson, Troy; 17 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren; brothers & sisters: L. Paul (Betty), Sodus, Joan, Albany; Sharon, Brockport; Peter, Troy; Dennis (Karen), Newark, NY, Korleen (Ray) Gould, Watertown; sisters-in-law, Shirley Kehoe, Watertown; Luann Kehoe, Oswego; many nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:15 AM Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, from the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 Third Street, Troy, and 11 AM at St. Anthony's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mario Julian OFM, pastor. Relatives & friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Tuesday, 4-8 pm in Troy. Interment will be held on Thursday at St. Peter's Cemetery, Oswego.
