I just came across this notice while combing the internet for any mentions of Skippy Ice Cream. I was a "Skippy man" for a couple of years in the late '70's. It was a great place to work and I met some real characters there. I would just like to say that Jerry infused the whole place with a feeling of Joy and optimism that made you want to come in every day, and I never heard a harsh word come out of his mouth. "Got the best, forget the rest!" Indeed.

To Peter and Jed,
I will always remember the fun times we had with your Dad and Family on Clarkes Crossing! He will always be remembered as "Skippy" and bringing us the ice cream in the winter. He will greatly be missed by all who knew him.

My profound sympathy to Judy, Jed, Peter and the entire family. Working for Jerry as long as I did, I felt as if I were
part of the family. I am grateful to have known him as fond memories will remain in my heart always. Much love, Eileen

Uncle Jerry: I remember all of the summers (7) working with you at Skippy Ice cream. You taught me alot and I had a great time. I enjoyed all of antics the jokes you used to pull, and the crazy stuff we used to do. Thanks for all the memories.

Uncle Jerry; I remember my Uncle Jerry as always smiling and playing with myself and my two brothers at Grandma and Grandpa's house on East Ave. He would load us up in a Skippy cart/car and take us for a bumpy ride around the yard. He really got a kick out of it, watching us bouncing up and down and laughing. Mom (his brother says he was called the "baby of the family" well into his 40's. I will always remember his quizzical smile.
