Carl Hofstetter Obituary
Penfield: Passed away peacefully Aug. 20, 2015, surrounded by family. Carl was predeceased by his parents Karl and Grete. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, JoAnne; devoted children Joseph (Irina), David, Lisa (Steve), Kelly (Jerry) and Sean; adoring grandchildren Allison, Evan and Emma; sister Linda (Fred) Kastner; aunt Christel (Joachim) Klein; and extended family and friends. Carl influenced many lives as a dedicated educator for 35 years in the math department at Webster Thomas High School. He was proud to be one of the "Math Guys". He was also a successful Associate Broker for more than 30 years, most recently at Nothnagle Realtors. He will be fondly remembered and missed by many.
Calling hours will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road, Webster, N.Y. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the All Seasons Chapel at Whitehaven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 2652 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, N.Y., 14626. Entombment at White Haven Memorial Park.

At my class's 10 year reunion just a few days ago, we spent some time reminiscing on teachers we had remembered. Everyone remembered Mr. Hofstetter very fondly. His genuineness & enthusiasm was greatly appreciated, and is greatly missed. I am dearly happy to have known him.

Dear Joanne, Lisa, Joey and family,
What a privilege and a blessing it has been to me to know Carl for the last 30 years. It is hard to find words that describe such a great man. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I am certain that Carl now dwells in the Lords house and will proudly watch those grandchildren grow. My deepest condolences to all of you.

Mr. Hofstetter was one of the finest men I knew. I hadn't a lot of respect in high school for people in general, but he earned it without second thought. His wit, good humor, and enthusiasm untempered by cynicism was an unforgettable smile, and in entirety, he will be missed, as he already has been.

Dear Joey, David and Lisa,
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Your Dad just sold Shauna/Matt's home. I knew she was in good hands working with him. My heart aches for all of you and your families. I am so sorry to hear of Carl's passing. He had sold us our house on Castle Acres Drive, which was right across from his Mom's. I also worked with him at Thomas. A great teacher and wonderful man. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. May GOD Bless
