Still missing my friend and racer neighbor! The beautiful Camaro cars were my favorites but his self-built Monza was wicked fast. I especially enjoyed trips to the Glen together and working with him and the team on the Monza. A nice guy who enjoyed sports of all kinds and was frequently a fan at Penfield High School events! RIP my friend.

Dear Lynn, Mark and Lindsay, A wonderful man gone way too soon. Great coach and role model to our boys. We cherish the memories of our friendship over the years. I'll miss running into Warren at Wegmans ~ how his face would light up when he shared how Mark and Lindsay were doing. Proud dad! Always in our prayers.

Lyn, Mark & Lindsay, Knowing briefly that Warren was very ill, It was with great sadness that, I found out about Warren's passing on Oct. 29th, while I was traveling. I'll miss Warren, even though we've been on opposite coasts for over 30 years now.

I first met Warren in 1973 at the Lime Rock Trans-Am race and soon visited his race shop in the Rochester area where I had just moved to as a recent college graduate for a job at Kodak. I soon became involved with the team, then on the team and subsequently helped design, build and crew for Warren's last Trans-Am/IMSA GT Camaro in 1974 and then both the Monza GTs for the 1975-1977 racing seasons, all as my second “job”. I greatly appreciated being accepted in by Warren and then associated with the team and with Warren during those five racing seasons. What a learning experience, enjoyable, yet hard working opportunity it was for me. I was and continue to this day to be so thankful of Warren and Lynn too for allowing me to experience it all and contribute. Many dreams came true because of Warren. Yes, it was a low buck team that Warren was running, but in many ways that made it special in my mind and, I believe also for those who were on the team, since we all wanted to go racing and in the highest levels of GT and sports car racing. Warren led the way for us.

During those years I experienced some of the highs of the second half of Warren's racing career with Warren and fellow teammates, from the whole building process of new cars, to making it to race starting grids, competing in and finishing races, some even on the podium. Of course there were low moments and times after crashes and that moment we first heard of the passing of Mark Donohue, where I was at Warren's side as we were building the first Monza GT. Mark was so special to Warren. Warren (and Mark also) was so special to me in my short race team career.

A few years ago, with the developments and increased usefulness of the internet and Facebook, I took the time and effort to put together the Facebook site, “Warren Agor Racing Team”, which celebrates it's namesake, with over 600 photos and a few videos spanning nearly Warren's entire racing career. Most of the photos were originally taken by myself and my long time best friend and racing buddy, Tony Mezzacca, plus a number by other photographers (thank you) that were located and downloaded from the internet. I gave Warren a brief heads up that something “interesting” was coming his (and everyone's) way, and then I published the Facebook photo site 80% complete at the start, adding more since, for Warren and his team members as a lasting tribute. Needless to say, Warren was thrilled of the site and of all the photo memories and history it contained. I'm now so very pleased that I created this tribute site in time for Warren to have at least a few years to enjoy it and for others to continue to enjoy it and remember Warren.
Warren, Rest in Peace, I'll always remember you and your family fondly!

To the Agor family and friends, I know Warren took great delight from last night's election results! I enjoyed working with Warren in years past while I was the PR director at The Glen in the '70s and very early '80s. We all share in your loss.

So sad to hear of Warren's passing. As a kid I watched him race many, many times, and always enjoyed seeing him at the vintage events. Taken too soon, but he will live on in our memories.

We are so sorry for your (our) loss. We are out of town and cannot participate, but we do want you to know we are thinking of you all. I spoke with Warren a few days before we left for Arizona and he seemed positive and interested in getting the Monza back together for the next race.

I have many great memories of race stories, race people and all good things. He was interested in racing and in life. We will miss him.

To the Agor family and friends, sorry to hear of your loss. Enjoyed watching Warren race in SCCA, Trans-Am and Can-Am in the U.S. and Canada through the years. Recently saw him at The Glen for the vintage races. He was a hard worker who made his dreams come true and turned around and made other peoples dreams come true as well. He took the Checkered Flag way to early.

To the Agor family, I'm sorry and saddened for your loss. I had the luck of camping next to Warren and his team a few times at the Watkins Glen State Park. We had some great times talking racing. Warren was a class guy. After a race, he would sit on the pit wall and be available to sign autographs for any who would make a request. He provided some of my greatest rac'en memories.

Race on,

We have been friends and business associates for only a few years in Syracuse, a racing legend and hero of mine for years. REST IN PEACE.

Although our interactions were brief over a few years, he was a kind, caring, and determined father, coach and business man. I will always remember the sparkle in his eye as he would speak of his wife, and children, Mark and Lindsey. He coached girls travel soccer with knowledge, passion and a love of the game. He inspired many young girls - he just wanted to be a part of Lindsey's soccer experiences.
I am grateful to have known him and work with him briefly at Agor Enterprises.
My sympathy to his family.

Warren made a young guy's dream come true when he hired me to work on his race team 40 years ago. (He said he hired me because I said I'd work for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, which was about what we were paid!) He inspired me to aim high and work hard, but keep a sense of humor. He will always have a special place in my life and heart.

Dear Lynn , Mark and Lindsay, I am so sorry about Warren's passing. He helped me so much over the years with my van amd when others told me no , Warren said yes. Warren was the one that gave me back my liberties and for that I will always be greatful. It was n't just him it was his family and friends that make these things happen for people with limitations and dreams.

Thank You Warren for everything,

Tina

October 30, 2014

Dear Warren Agor family, my heartfelt and deepest condolences over the loss of Warren today. I, along with my long time buddy since high school, Bob Brandle from Fremont, Ca., were crewmembers for Warren's Agor Monza Racing team back in the 70s (I am helping to push Warren's Monza onto the starting grid for the Watkins Glen 6 Hours race, July 1977 in the photo I've attached, on drivers left, w/the bushy hair, large camera bag across my back!). Warren was an wonderful guy and a great racing driver, one of the best! I know he's now racing one of God's celestial chariots in the BIG race in heaven! I have been fighting my own battle with cancer this year, having defeated it. May God bless you all at this time, give you comfort and strength. Tony Mezzacca, Madison, NJ
