Sarasota, Florida: Died on April 7, 2014. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Ann Roth; his sons & daughters-in-law, Neil Roth & Jorian Gettler Roth, Evan Roth & Sara Page; five grandchildren, David, Marisa, Jackson, Anders & Gareth. He was predeceased by his sister, Florence Roth & son, Eric Roth.

Born in the Bronx, he served during World War II as a medic in the 106th Infantry. In December 1944, he was captured by the Germans during the Battle of the Bulge and held in a Prisoner of War Camp until April 1945, when he was liberated by Russian cavalry.

For forty years, he was the owner of Roth Realtors in Rochester, NY & in 1979 & 1980, he was the President of the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors. He and Ann retired to Sarasota, Florida, where they resided for more than 30 years. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the arts, and a volunteer for the Sarasota Ballet.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 13 at 10 AM at Temple B'rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY. Following burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery, there will be visitation with the family until 2:30 PM at the Temple. Contributions may be made to the Eric J. Roth Scholarship Fund at Temple B'rith Kodesh, which provides an annual scholarship for a student from the Temple to study in Israel. For directions or to leave a message of condolence, please visit:
