A great story; My son Steve at age 12, was told by kids that a neighborhood dog was sent to the SPCA in Victor, NY. So the next day he packed a lunch and set out on his bike in the pouring rain to go get this dog. He got as far as Our Saviour's and went inside to sit. Pastor Kitts noticed Steve and sat down to talk with him. After some good counceling, Pastor got up, put his rain coat on, put Steve's bike in his car trunk and drove him back home. Pastor helped Steve put back all the lunch meat and calmed Steve down. Pastor later called me at work to explain what happenned. Now that was Pastor Kitts watching over his flock.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. The memories over the years, confirmation class, seeing Pastor for the first time in "regular clothes" at the first church picnic we attended (early '70s), playing softball. He was one of the few good ones who will be greatly missed.

I am very sorry to hear about Pastor Kitts. Iremember my confirmation class and his visits to our house. I only disagreed with one thing he said to me and I do believe that dogs do go to heaven. Stephen Dyer, Seattle, WA

Dear Family,
I am a secretary in Pastor Kitts' primary doctor's office and I just want to tell you that I will miss talking with your wonderful Dad. He was such a kind and caring man, the light of Jesus just shone through him. I take comfort in knowing that he is in the arms of the Father now. I feel blessed to have known him.
Comfort and peace to you all,
Mindy Fletcher

Pastor Kitts was an important part of my family's life during the years he served St. John's. He was with us when my father died and 4 months later he baptized my son. My mom always enjoyed receiving his yearly Christmas letters. He was a good man, and a true leader in faith. I will remember him fondly.
May God's peace be with all of his loved ones.
Rest in Peace Pastor Kitts.

Dear Karen and family -
I was honored to meet your father twice, and I know he was proud, strong, compassionate and loving...the very traits he has passed on to you and your children.
Please know Tom and I are thinking of you with sympathy and friendship.

It has been an honor and privilege to have you in our family for over 35 years. I will always hear your voice and see you standing so tall, whenever you entered a family function. You were a wonderful man and this earth has lost an amazing human being. Thank you for all of the wonderful memories at the family functions. Rest in peace Reverend Kitts.
