My profound sympathy and condolences for your loss. I will always remember Dr Carpenters kindnesses to me as a youth in the church and in Boy scouts.

Dr. Carpenter was a gracious, kind gentleman. He did not know me personally, but 40 years ago he took the time to pay me a compliment that meant a great deal to me. His thoughtfulness that day has been an inspiration to me ever since. Please accept my sympathy.

To Verna, Gary and all of the family,

We send you our sincere condolences and sympathy at this most difficult time.

We must say that Connie will be sincerely missed at our house. We enjoyed his humor and his most kind and gentle manner. If everyone in the world were like Connie, the world would have no problems!

John remembers, on one of Connie's trip to California, when John asked why he couldn't stay longer--Connie's reply was that his pipes might freeze. The next Winter our pipes froze! The laugh was on us!

We send love to all.

Connie was an amazing man and a large influence on me as a child. Although my interactions with Connie were limited to his trips to the West Coast, which were few and far between as the years passed, Connie had this way about him that I have never found in another person. He is without a doubt the most caring and friendly man I have encountered in my 28 years on earth. He was one of a kind and will be missed. My condolances go out to the Carpenter Family.

It is difficult to use mere words to describe Connie. His kind, thoughtful, and generous spirit is an inspiration to anyone who had the pleasure to meet him. I will always remember his stories and zest for life. I will miss him dearly. I feel honored to have known him. Canandaigua will never be the same without him. God bless you Connie.

We will all miss Connie and his zest for life. He was a constant fixture on our little corner. On any given day he might be cutting down trees (at 8 am in his 80’s), plowing our driveway (“for fun”), telling stories to the kids, waving to the neighbors, or just puttering in his yard. We have to many memories to mention. Connie was a wonderful man and a wonderful neighbor and he will be greatly missed by our entire family.

Dr. Carpenter, only one way to describe him.."Outstanding Gentleman". He would wave every time he was out as I passed his house, and at times I would stop and chat with him. He treated everyone with that wonderful, soft spoken kindness that just beamed from him.

I will miss you my friend.

Mr. Carpenter was a neighbor and we would always wave to each other. I was at function that honored him several years ago and was happy to find out that he and I both attended the same high school in Rochester (East High School). He was always helping people in the area with yard mowing in the summer and snow plowing in the winter even though he was in his 80's. A great man who will be sorely missed.

Connie was a local treasure. A true gentleman who was a shining example of all of the best parts of human nature. Gentle, kind, generous, hard working, helpful to anyone who needed him. Without ever wanting or taking any credit, he quietly helped many people in the community.

I will miss his wisdom, and the many stories of local history he would share with those of us who spent time with him at the gallery where we proudly displayed his beautiful woodworking.

My deepest sympathy to Connie's family, and to all of the many people who were lucky enough to have Connie's life touch theirs.
