McNeil, Donald Keith
Williamson, NY:: Donald Keith McNeil, age 75, died February 6, 2013. He leaves his wife of 31 years, Janice (Shuster) McNeil; brother Gary (Carol) McNeil; three children from a previous marriage, including son Bruce (Terri) McNeil; and two step-children (Randy Cepuch and LaDonna Court). He is also survived by three grandchildren: Sean McNeil, Mollie McNeil and Jennifer (Joshua) Woodford; and great-granddaughter Joslin Woodford.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Pultneyville, New York.
Don was born to Mildred and Orval McNeil on July 4, 1937 in Rochester. He graduated from Williamson High School in 1955 and enlisted in the Air Force, where he served as a radio operator in Greenland and Grand Rapids, MN. Don spent his working career at Eastman Kodak, where he started as a floor sweeper, was chosen for the electrical apprenticeship program and became a high voltage cable splicer whose services were in strong demand. He lived in Greece for many years before moving to Williamson in 1980. After retiring in 1992, Don and his wife traveled all over the country in their RV and spent parts of each winter among friends in Myrtle Beach, SC. They served as co-presidents of their regional Holiday Ramblers RV Club chapter. Don's other interests ranged from NASA to NASCAR.
Memorial donations in Don's name can be made to Lifetime Care Hospice and Cancer Research Institute. The family thanks Janel Mowry R.N. of Lifetime for all her kindness.
