No. Myrtle Beach, SC: March 9, 2012, age 93, peacefully after a brief illness. Predeceased by his mother, Estelle Soles Lamb & father Alexander Lamb; sisters, Magdalen Stevens & Mary Scofield. Survived by his wife, Daphne Lamb; children, Barbara Carder, Carole (Tim) Hondorf & Robert C. (Karen) Lamb of Rochester; grandchildren, Matt, Jim, Greg, Christine, Steve and Theresa; great-grandchildren Ben and Jack; nephew, Joel Stevens of Mesa, AZ.

A US Army veteran having served in the India-Burma Theater in WWII. A prominent figure in Rochester construction history as owner of Max T. Doland Inc., president of the Rochester Builders Exchange, recipient of the Builders Exchange Lifetime Achievement Award, President of the Empire State Builders Hardware Club. Fred was a friend and colleague to contractors and his employees throughout his working career. Fred will long be remembered for his willingness to lend a hand, his love of vacations with the family, fishing, golfing and his beloved home at Tidewater Plantation in No. Myrtle Beach. NO PRIOR VISITATION. Fred's memorial service will be Saturday, April 28, 2012, 11 AM at Walker Brothers Funeral Home, 15 West Ave, Spencerport. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the in Fred's memory.
