Albany: age 85, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2011, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, New York. Born in Brooklyn, New York and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Gerry worked as a social worker with immigrants in the New York City area. After marrying and moving to upstate New York, Gerry received a Masters in Education from Brockport College. Gerry was a loving mother and raised her three children at 970 Bay Road, Webster, New York before retiring to Delray Beach, Florida. Gerry is survived by her son Scott of Champagne, Illinois, her son Andy of Niskayuna, New York, and her daughter Adrienne of Milford, Connecticut. Gerry was the proud grandmother of Andy's children, Brandon and Emily. During her years in Rochester, Gerry was a congregant of Temple B'rith Kodesh and a supporter of the Hillel School. She will be missed by family and friends, but will remain in our hearts always.
A memorial service will be held at the Mt. Hope Cemetery at 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 18, 2011. In lieu of flowers, friends may remember her with contributions to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
