Harold W. Schurr passed into heaven early morning of November 23, 2012 at Lillington Hospice with his bride Annabell by his side. Born on July 29, 1930 in Home, Pennsylvania, he is the son of George and Blanche Schurr.
Harold served in the US Air Force from 1947 to 1951 during the Korean War leaving with an honorable discharge. He then joined the B&O Railroad and retired after 33 years of service. He and his wife then decided to move to Sanford, NC to enjoy their retirement years. Harold loved to fish and enjoyed several years fishing in local lakes.
He is survived by his wife Annabell of 64 years and his four children, Harold B. Schurr, Cathy Schurr (Keith Fancher), Cindy Fuhrmann, Linda Leone (David); 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
The Schurr family would like to express their deep Thanks to the ladies (Angels) at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center for the loving, gentle care they provided Harold and the family.
