Ruske, Jr., Harry P.

Pittsford: November 13, 2012 at age 85. Predeceased by younger sister, Joyce. He is survived by loving wife, Pat of 61 years, and his children, Nancy (Tim) Woodward, Ross (Eileen) Ruske, and Paul Ruske; four grandchildren, Kyle, Jillian, Michael and Caitlin.

He attended Pittsford High, and entered the Navy during WWII and then graduated from Hobart College. He worked for Gannett as their Circulation Manager until retirement when he took up school bus driving in the Pittsford School System until he was 80. He became a volunteer driver for Elderberry Express, Meals on Wheels and the Open Door Mission. He was a faithful member of St Paul's Lutheran Church for 75 years and served as a Pittsford Village Trustee. He served on the Pittsford Cemetery Board and culminated his life with a veterans honor flight to visit the nations capital and monuments in September of this year.

Friends may call Monday, 4-7 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). Services will be held Tuesday, 2 PM St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Private interment at Pittsford Cemetery.
