My Aunt Janice and my Uncle Ted played very special roles in my life. Ted was my mother's brother and they loved each other very much! I remember Uncle Ted coming to our house every year to personally till up a garden for my parents so they could plant corn and vegetables. He could have had one of his employees do it, but he wanted the time to spend afterwards with his sister Hazel and Van. What I remember most about Aunt Janice is her love for Ted and her children. The story that sticks most in my head is that she went back to college when i was a freshman at the same school. I made the mistake of teasing her about being my aunt in front of some of the friends she had made at the school who were my age. She cornered me and told me in no uncertain terms that I should "cool it!" We laughed for decades afterwards about it. The other story is that grandma Collins used to pull up a chair and climb on it so she could scold Ted by looking him in the I! Ted and Janice are a love story to emulate! Two wonderful people! I miss them! Nephew Neil vanHooydonk

Uncle Ted, Jennifer, Matt and Families, my memories of aunt Janice date back to when she went back to school to get her teaching degree. My mother Hazel watched Jen and Matt for her during the day. Aunt Janice would light up the room like no one else I have ever met. She was pure Love and Joy.We send our condolence.

Uncle Ted, Jennifer, Matt and Families,
I loved "MY" Aunt Janice! And I will charish my memories of her. She was a caring, compassionate, joyous soul in a small "dyno-mite package." Now she is with my parents, grandparents and so many family and in God's Loving arms. We were all blessed by having her in our lives!

We remember Jan sitting on her deck overlooking the Indian River she loved.
We remember walking to the marina and stopping to talk to Jan about her children and grandchildren that she was so proud of.
We remember a pint sized woman getting a gallon sized guy to do whatever she wanted. Now that's love.
She will be missed!

Even though we were separated by many miles most of the time, Jan was the kind of friend with whom we could pick up, almost mid-sentence, just where we'd left off the last time as if we'd never been apart. She was everything you could want in a friend, and we treasured her. There is a hole in our hearts today. Jack and Lydia

Three of my four children were Mrs Collins students. She taught them independence, responsibility and freedom for creativity. They have gone on to great success and they credit those early years in her classroom. Gordy, Phil and Emily Hoffman as well as their mother, Marilyn send their love to Mrs Collin's family at this very sad time.
