Margaret Burgess Obituary

Burgess, Margaret "Betty"
Newark: Sunday, March 9, 2008, at age 84. She was predeceased by her husband John in 2001, and three brothers, William, Gerald, and Edward Heffron. She is survived by five sons, John of Albany, Robert (Rebecca) of Oswego, Thomas (Karen) of Newark, David of Newark, and Edward (Maura) Burgess of Pittsburgh, PA, and a daughter, Patricia (John) Guest of Newark, NY; 11 grandchildren, Scott Guest, Colleen Bailey, Jake, Nate, Lindsay, Brittany, Margaret, Riley, Madeline, Kelly Burgess & Bailey Burgess, 4 great-grandchildren, Skylar, Owen, and Kyra Guest, and Jenna Garcia; 2 brothers Linus (Mary) Heffron of Phelps & James (Ann) Heffron of Clifton Springs; sister, Katharine Bunce of Clifton Springs; 2 special friends, Teresa Lagana & Josephine Truini.
Friends may call Wednesday (March 12th) from 4 to 7 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Mark Brewer at 10 AM on Thursday (March l3th) at St. Michael's Church, 325 South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be made to St. Michael's Church, 325 South Main St., Newark, NY 14513, or to the charity of one's choice.

Our Red Hat Group will truly miss your funny comments and entertaining stories. I personally will miss a truly strong, wonderful neighbor who was always there for 25 years with a welcoming hello.

Jack, Bob, Eddy, Tom, David and my dear friends Pat and John, we are sincerely sorry for your loss, and please know that you all are in our prayers.
