DeLand, FL: 42, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Florida Hospital DeLand after a long illness. Born in Rochester, NY he moved from there to Florida 24 years ago. Mark is survived by 2 daughters, Kayla Pollard of Eugene, OR and Grace LaShomb of DeLeon Springs, FL; mother and step-father, Joyce & Oscar "Bud" Steger of Rochester; sisters, Michelle Riley and Lynnette (Larry) Folk, both of Rochester; brother, Donald LaShomb of Bainbridge, NY; step-brothers, Thomas Steger of Columbus, OH and Robert (Michele) Steger of Winter Springs, FL; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Jacques "Jack" LaShomb and his brother, Keith LaShomb.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 1595 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620-3602. Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand, FL is in charge of arrangements (386) 734-2244.

I worked with Mark at Marjax and he was a great friend and co-worker. I just found out about his passing and I am deeply saddened. God bless you always. My condolences to his parents, Bud and Joyce and my prayers are with his children .
