Nancy Roberts Obituary
Rochester: June 11, 2103. Died at 62 years of age after a spirited struggle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma cancer. Predeceased by her father, Marshall Roberts. She leaves behind her mother, Eileen Roberts, her brother, Steven Roberts; aunt, Phyllis Harnack; nephew, Christopher Hart; nieces, Leslie, Judith & Gail Blackhall & Barbara Harnack. She leaves behind a wonderful group of friends who have been at her side during her illness, including her oldest friends for some 30 years, Gail Kirchgessner & Nan Mazzuco.
Born in Needham, Mass., Nancy was a graduate of Mt. Ida College & went on to a successful business career. A gifted gardener all her life, she provided beautiful landscaping for each of her several homes. Here in Rochester she enjoyed serving as a board member of the North Winton Village Association - most recently as organizer of its annual plant sale. And this obituary wouldn't be complete without the mention of Rusty & Jenny, the last in a long line of cats lovingly cared for by Nancy.
A reception for Nancy will take place on Saturday (June 15th) from 3-5 PM at Sanibel Cottage (1517 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY). Any donations in Nancy's memory may be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm (99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450). Online Condolences welcomed at:

Just received the message that Nancy passed away as it is very heartbreaking. I only knew her for a short amount of time, from going over every wednesday to clean for her,
but that time of knowing her felt like a lifetime. Nancy had a wonderful attitude about life and a beautiful spirit. She inspired me more than she knew. God bless the family she left behind and will be in my prayers. Nancy will be missed greatly! God bless and comfort.

Nancy lived behind My home...We enjoyed our "Chats" over the fence....I always loved her beautiful gardens...and hearing her in the yard with her KITTIES..RIP Nancy

My mom and I always enjoyed having Nancy as our neighbor. Her beautiful garden added so much to the neighborhood. I will miss her sense of humor and willingness to help others. My deepest sympathy to all of her family.

My Mother Helen Finn was Nancy's back yard neighbor for many years. They shared a love of kitties and their city neighborhood & gardens. Nancy was a good friend to Mom in her final years and I am very sorry to hear of her untimely passing. The neighborhood will not be the same.

Nancy will be sorely missed around the neighborhood as a friend and community activist - with a green thumb and unfailing sense of humour. Her volunteer work has left a great impact on North Winton Village. My prayers are with her family.
