Donna, Larry and I were so glad we could have a moment with you that Friday. Yes, I know you love Larry more and that is sooooo understandable! Listening to Greg was a pleasure, he did a wonderful job. I know he made you and the family smile and thats a good thing. The minute Greg said "when Dick arrived in Heaven, his first question would be - who is going to give me a beer?". I'm thinking my Dad was in line to hand him one!!!! They will certainly re-hash Army and Vine Valley stories! I hope the supply of beer is never deplated. If it is, I'm not sure who will be the most difficult to deal with. Your always in our thoughts. Take care of you. We are looking forward to seeing you in the Valley this summer. Love, Larry&Sue Ford

We will all miss Dick. He was a great racer and a greater person. He always had a cheery smile and time to visit. We were thrilled when he asked us to make a diecast model of his famous #13 coupe! Mary & Dick Montgomery

One of the nicest men I ever met. Dick was a talented stock car driver and a gentleman behind the wheel. He also was my very first interview, for the 1973 Bishop Turner High School newspaper. He took time out to talk with me and I forever was impressed. May he rest in peace.

Oh My, Donna...I'm so sorry! Dick surely will be remembered and missed. I've thought of all of you so often, and for some reason, moreso lately.
Never will I forget Dick's sense of humor and his sense of responsibility down there in Vine Valley.
Love and sympathy to the entire family.

I was just telling the story a few days ago about the 20' tall pile of sticks that Mr. Emerson poured gas on and threw a match into, down there in Vine Valley. I've never see anyone run that fast... My father and his friends (Dick, Jack, Ben, Stu, etc...) had quite the crew down there and apparently had a lot of fun.
My sympathys to the family.

The Emerson family will always be a big part of my childhood memories. Dick was a great Dad and was generous with all the Emerson toys snowmobiles, fishing equipment motor home, race car stuff.Louie would call me down to the house on Empire Blvd, when Dick was going to fire up a new stock car. Wow. Our deepest sympathy,
Glenn and Katy Calitri
