Martin
Brighton: Passed away in her home surrounded by her husband, twin brother and daughters on January 22, 2012. Age 72. She demonstrated strength, courage and grace in her final months. Predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Anna Martin; siblings, Arthur and Marjorie Martin; nephew, Arthur Martin III; & Patricia Rohrer McVey. She is survived by her husband, Dr. George J. McVey; children, Pam Babij (Bruce) of Baltimore, MD, Mimi McVey (Dan Sievers) of Baltimore, MD, Mary McVey (Hughes Kraft) of Cape Elizabeth, ME, Karen Fussell (Chip) of Orrington, ME, Connie McVey (Mike Socolow) of Bangor, ME, Amy McVey of Burlington, VT; grandchildren, Quinn, Bowie, Griffin, Madeline, Heather, Bruno, Stefan, Oliver, Charlie, Simon, Geo, Susie; siblings, twin brother Stephen Martin (Marielle), Janice Hickey (William), J. Douglas Martin (Sis); sister-in-law, Sr. Alice McVey; many nieces and nephews.
No prior calling. A Memorial Mass is planned for Thursday, February 2, 10:30 am, at Spiritus Christi Church, 121 N. Fitzhugh St., Rochester, 14614. Reception immediately following in the church's Celebration Hall. Interment will be at a later date, since Sue made prior arrangements to donate her body to the University of Rochester Medical School. The McVey family is grateful for the support and love of Sue's friends, neighbors, and family as well as the care and patience demonstrated by the Lifetime Care hospice staff and her medical team.
