Mendon: Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on March 24, 2013 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was born in Watertown, NY on October 17, 1932 to Clarence and Florence Cean. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard J. Aulenbacher; her children; Barbara Hasler and husband, Peter; Ann Aulenbacher; Margaret Corbit and husband, Thomas; Susan Aulenbacher and husband, Richard Corwin. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ginny Iulianella and husband, Marco; Emily Hasler; Annie Hasler; Jenn Corbit; Suzi Corbit; Sarah Corbit; her sister Barbara O'Leary and husband, William; her brother-in-law John Aulenbacher; many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

Prior to her retirement, Virginia was a teacher and administrator for the Rochester City School District for many years. Her interests throughout her life centered on her family, home, and cottage at the 1000 Islands.

Friends may call Tuesday, 2-4, 7-9 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, 10 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 26 Mendon-Ionia Rd., Mendon. Interment at Mendon Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Immaculate Heart Endowment Fund of Immaculate Heart Academy (1 Sterling Place, Watertown, NY 13601) or the (435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620).
