Pittsford: Passed away on January 31, 2012 at the age of 93 after living a long rich life. Bill was a proud graduate of Monroe High School, Cornell University, and Harvard Business School. He was employed by Chase Lincoln for 24 years, serving as CEO and Vice Chairman. He also served as a Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserves. Bill was a very active member of the Rochester community, serving on many boards. He was President of the NY State Bankers Association, Trustee of the University of Rochester, board member of the Genesee Country Museum, French's Mustard, and Forbes Products. He served on the Pittsford Town Council and as Alumni President of Cornell University's Great Class of '41, attending reunions until recently. Bill was a member of the Genesee Valley Club, Monroe Golf Club and later the Country Club of Rochester, where he enjoyed both golf and social outings. He loved to travel, and had a special fondness for the Adirondack Mountains and Blue Mountain Lake. He enjoyed cycling, touring Europe as well as his neighborhood. His determined spirit and sense of humor will be missed.

He was pre-deceased by his loving wife Jackie, and brothers Wayne and Orrin. He is survived and missed by his children Wendy Webber Welsh of Bethlehem, P.A., Peter (Daria) Webber of Syracuse, N.Y., Michael Webber of Prattsburgh, N.Y. , and Sally (Bill) Centner of Minneapolis, M.N., grandchildren Jason (Anne), Charlie, Tyson (Lori), Christopher, Elisabeth, Beau Blake, William, Peter, and great grandchildren Jamie, Matthew, Caroline and Ava.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held in early March. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Historic Pittsford, or The Genesee Country Village and Museum. To share a memory or photo of Bill visit www.anthonychapels.com.
